According to tax records it has 4482 square feet of living space with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. It is known as the Pinckney House being built by Bartholomew Pinckney (1830 - 1906) who along with his sons Frank (1868-), William (1858-) and Gaillard (1873 - 1946) ran the ferrys between Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. The house is shown on the 1893 map of Mt. Pleasant.
