![]() Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park
![]() The Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park is located at the foot of the Arthur Ravenel Bridge in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The 14 acre, 14 million dollar park has the areas longest (1250 feet) fishing pier and has parking for more than 300 vehicles. There is a playground for the kids, a war memorial and a gift and fishing tackle shop which includes sandwiches and snacks. There is an 8100 sq. ft. covered pavilion at the end of the pier for dances and other events.
![]() The fishing fee is $5 for Charleston County residents, $3 for children 12 and younger and $8 for anglers who live outside the county. ![]() The pier has bench swings at three additional shade structures along its length. April 22, 2010 The new Mount Pleasant Pier is the perfect place to be outside. With the warmer evenings comes a night of Bluegrass Under the Bridge or Shaggin' on the Cooper. Sarah Reynolds,

Commission, said, "This mirrors the dances we do at the Folly Beach
Pier. The Moonlight Mixers have been very popular over the years." The River Watch Cafe and Gift Shop is open during these events, offering sandwiches, ice cream and sodas. Souvenirs, local artwork and jewelry are also sold in there.Gates open for each performance at 7 p.m. with music beginning at 8 p.m. A limited number of tickets will be sold for these events so people are encouraged to arrive early. Admission is $10 per event. Tickets will be available beginning at 4 p.m. the day of the event in the Mount Pleasant Pier gift shop and at the gate. Palmetto Island County Park is a nature-oriented park designed for family and group use. Visitors can enjoy bicycle paths, boardwalks and picnic sites with grills. A two acre pond offers pedal boats and bicycle rentals. A snack bar and dining area over look the water. The "Big Toy" Playground is nearby. A 50 foot observation tower offers views of the nearby tidal creeks and salt marsh. The Dog Park provides entertainment and exercise for your dog.
